Krishi Doctor

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-02

This is a draft policy for launch purposes and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes how Krishi Doctor ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Krishi Doctor mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service").

Krishi Doctor is a case-based agricultural diagnosis platform: you submit photos of a crop (and optionally notes, voice, or answers to follow-up questions), and the Service returns an AI-assisted, evidence-backed diagnosis and treatment plan.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and authentication data when you create an account.

Diagnosis content: photos, notes, voice recordings (transcribed to text), and answers you submit as part of a diagnosis case, along with metadata such as crop hint, country, and language.

Community content: posts, comments, and reactions you choose to share on the community feed, which may be visible to other users depending on the visibility you select.

Usage data: which features you use, diagnosis and chat credit consumption, and basic device/app information, used to operate quotas and improve the Service.

Location: an approximate location (device GPS, or a city you select) used to show relevant weather information. Defaults to Dhaka if not provided.

3. How we use your information

To operate the Service: running diagnosis cases, powering the Krido chat assistant, showing your history, and enforcing free-tier usage limits.

To improve accuracy: reviewing diagnosis outcomes and feedback helps us and our agronomy reviewers improve the underlying knowledge base over time.

To communicate with you: service notices, and responses to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party processing

Diagnosis photos and text are sent to third-party AI providers (currently accessed via OpenRouter, including Google Gemini models) to generate the vision analysis and chat responses that power the Service. These providers process the content solely to return a result to the Service and are bound by their own data-processing terms.

Voice notes are sent to a speech-to-text provider for transcription.

Uploaded photos and other files are stored with our object-storage provider (Cloudflare R2).

We do not control how these third parties independently retain data beyond what is necessary to provide their service to us, but we choose providers with data-processing agreements appropriate for the sensitivity of agricultural photo data.

5. Data retention

Diagnosis cases, photos, and chat history are retained for as long as your account is active, so you can review your diagnosis history. You may request deletion of your account and associated content at any time (see § 8).

We may retain de-identified or aggregated data (for example, which crop/disease combinations are common in a region) indefinitely to improve the Service, since this no longer identifies you.

6. Cookies and local storage

The website uses browser local storage to remember your language preference and, for the admin panel, your signed-in session and theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your diagnosis history and account information from within the app, or by contacting us at the email address on our Contact page.

If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants specific data-protection rights (such as access, portability, or erasure), we will honour requests consistent with applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is intended for general agricultural use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above, and significant changes may also be announced in-app.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through our Contact page.
